Well, it’s here. Reaching milestones. We all do in one way or another. Today is the day I turn 60. I don’t feel 60 because frankly, I don’t know what 60 feels like.
Turning 60 and the physical toll shows. Wrinkles and yes, more wrinkles. Maybe a little stiffness. Maybe a few more aches and pains. Maybe a bit more cautious to move. Some of the “benefits” of turning 60.
Turning 60 is a great reminder to all is that I am still the same person inside. Time has given me more wisdom, know what I want and what I don’t want. I will walk away from drama and not sweat the small stuff because life is so much more. Neither one is worth it.
Turning 60 doesn’t define me. I still yearn to learn something new, experience more, embrace new opportunities, pursue my passions, live and enjoy life to the fullest. Don’t discount me because of my age. Don’t put me in a box with boundaries because I am 60. I am not invisible. I still can provide value and want to.
Turning 60 makes me realize that each day is truly a gift. I realize how that can change in a second. Right before my eyes. People I have known who were here one day and now are no longer. I understand the value and gift of life. Every. Single. Day.
Turning 60 a time to enjoy one of life’s biggest rewards — family and grandchildren. The only ones who truly “get” me and I “get” them.
Turning 60 and wanting to travel more and that doesn’t necessarily mean travel the world. It could literally mean my backyard. Enjoy what the beauty the world has to offer.
Turning 60 is also about pausing and giving myself permission. It’s okay to take some time to just slow down. If I want.
Turning 60 – we can make our lives any way we want. Our mindset is our only barrier. What do we want to do? How do we want to be? Who do we want to be?
Turning 60. Embrace it. Love it. Experience it. Live it.
Well said. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Happy Birthday Wanda!!
