Soybean plant leaves “cupping.” We have a prob

Soybean plant leaves “cupping.”
We have a problem in Ag country. Our soybean plants have a condition referred to as cupping. Many believe this is a result of Dicamba spraying. It’s no secret that Dicamba is known for drift. So let’s do a little Q & A. 1) Has this happened in the past? Yes, but this year is by far the worst. 2) Is it caused by nearby farms catching the Dicamba drift? It can be but it seems the drift is carrying much further. Based on our knowledge, the nearest farm that sprayed Dicamba is miles away. 3) Does it affect the yields? Some people say no but that’s hard for me to agree. No doubt by the picture that soybean plant is not healthy. 4) Is the drought making it worst? No doubt. 5) What can you do about it? Not much. Rainfall will help. As a farmer, I am very concerned about this and am hoping we have some answers soon. #mnag #mnsoybean #ag #dicamba

And the good news story for today! Up until today, we had .14 inches of rain this month when we normally receive 6 inches. So very thankful!
